PLAY, THE FILM by Cão Solteiro & André Godinho, 2011

Behind the screen a group of actors do the live dubbing of a silent film.
The film The Great Gabbo (1929), directed by James Cruze, was re-edited, and got a new text that explores the musical side of the film, and gives it a contemporary take, preserving the original story line.

With André Godinho, António Gouveia, Joana Manuel, Noelle Georg, Michelle d’Orleans, Paula Sá Nogueira, Paulo Lages and a special appearance by Cais do Sodré Cabaret.

This show was premiered at Teatro Camões during the Temps d’Images festival, and toured in Portugal in 2012 and 2013.
