Theatre company Teatro Praga decided to do a dance performance choreographed by them. They’re doing their version of The Rite of Spring with the Symphonic Orchestra Metropolitana. I made videos for the performance and this teaser. 🎀 A SAGRAÇÃO DA PRIMAVERA will be performed at CCB in Lisbon (17 – 18 june) and Rivoli in Oporto (15 – 16 july).

gaivotas beyonce alipio padilhaTwo weeks ago at the opening of Teatro Praga‘s new home, Rua das Gaivotas,6, I did a 5 minute workshop on “How to make your selfie look like a Beyoncé video”. Before and after there were other 5 minute workshops about things as different as folding t-shirts, learning the art of flattering, learning how to disappear or how to make a painting without getting your self dirty. This is the place where everything can happen.

2013 rewind

My year started in Strasbourg with the premiere of Don Quichotte ou l’Illusion Perdue by the ballet company of the Opera National du Rhin.

Then Lisbon and Paris with another premiere, Teatro Praga’s The Tempest.

In may I flew to Angola for the shooting of my next documentary No Trilho dos Naturalistas: Angola.

In june I had a very special screening, in the Portuguese Cinematheque, of 5 films I directed in a room with the walls painted yellow: O Desterrado, Bonjour, Namban Japan, La Chambre Jaune and UFA…

One of these films, La Chambre Jaune, was edited on DVD with 4 other films from the same production company: TERRATREME filmes

And in the end of september I shot my next short: Ponto Morto.
